The C1 Chopsaw
Central to our offering is the patented C1 Chopsaw Range, renowned for its precision and speed. With a 100% clean cut success record across six continents, this tool delivers clean cuts up to 46″ OD. Our Chopsaw is exceptionally fast, performing cuts up to three times quicker than comparable diamond wire saws and offering up to five times more cuts per blade. This significantly reduces downtime by eliminating wire snapping risks. The Chopsaw has been field tested on over 7,000 cuts and has never failed to make a successful cut, even on challenging materials like super-duplex, Inconel, and thick PE coatings.
The C1-16UL model is particularly popular due to its versatility and efficiency, capable of cutting a wide range of materials including:
- Mooring chain (in tension or slack)
- Flexible risers (in tension or slack)
- Carbon steel and PU-coated pipe
- Super Duplex and Inconels

THE C1 CHOICE
TRACS-16 (Twin Recovery & Cutting System)
The TRACS-16 is a modular tool that combines cutting, lifting, and recovery in a single system. It is designed to cut and recover pipelines and flowlines up to 16 inches in diameter and 20 meters long. The tool can be modified to cut and recover a range of sizes, offering enhanced flexibility. The crane-deployable tool is ideal for subsea decommissioning operations, allowing for the recovery of sections back to the deck or relocation to a subsea basket.
The system uses a quick-connect system for seamless attachment and detachment of the C1-16 Chopsaw. The TRACS-16 improves safety by removing the need for simultaneous operations and reduces costs by saving vessel time. It can be operated via an ROV or a downline power source, providing operational flexibility.
The Tracksaw
The Tracksaw is a compact, high-torque tool designed for optimal performance in confined spaces and challenging environments. Its compact design allows it to fit into tight areas with minimal headroom, while a customisable clamping system ensures a secure attachment for precise cutting on flat plates, gussets, rib plates, and standard beam sections.
The Tracksaw is fabricated from high-strength Strenx steel for durability in harsh environments and can perform both horizontal and vertical cuts. A unique feature is its ability to remain clamped subsea even when hotstabs are disconnected, which reduces the need for recovery and maximises operational efficiency.
